After learning about Jesus from a friend, he was baptized in to the Catholic faith. for the next two years, Cyprian defended only clients who were poor, and he did not accept any payment for his services.
Cyprian became a priest, and then he became the bishop of Carthage where he served to the best of his ability for nearly ten years. Reading this story can encourage us to follow in the footsteps of St. Cyprian, who spoke out for the poor and encouraged all to remain true to the faith.
