Leo Dupont was born in 1797 on the island of Martinique in the West Indies. AS a young man he moved to Paris to study law. he married after returning to Martinique to practice law, but his wife died shortly after the birth of their daughter.
With a young daughter to raise, he moved to the city of Tours in France. It was here that he became known as the “Holy Man Of Tours ” because he worked to spread the devotion to the Holy Face of Jesus. Reading this story can encourage us to follow in the footsteps of Leo Dupont, an outstanding Catholic layman who burned with the love of God and spent much of his life sharing this love with others.
