Independent Study
Flexible.
Independent Study is an ideal alternative for families who want to use Our Lady of Victory curriculum for their younger children but are looking for more flexibility. This option includes purchasing the lesson plans and quarter tests (required books can be purchased separately) and allowing the parents to use and tailor our lesson plans according to their family’s needs. However, this option does not include the academic counseling or grading services OLVS provides for fully enrolled students. Parents will be responsible for correcting all assignments, issuing all grades, and maintaining all records.
In the past we have been asked to accept a high school student who has been using our Independent Study Program but has not been fully enrolled. In such a case, we have no method to assess precisely that the student has studied and passed the various tests at our standards. Therefore, if your high school student does not have official transcripts from another high school program, your student will not be able to receive a diploma from OLVS. Please call us for any further clarification.

Certificates of completion are available for our Religion/Theology courses for families who need them for parochial/sacramental reasons.

You can also purchase course materials for the chosen lesson plans from our bookstore. We also provide bundles for some courses, which are fully customizable so you can remove any books you may already own.
